If you want to hide a folder in windows XP without any software.

Follow the steps below.

It is an example in ‘c’ drive you can make in other drive also

1. Make a Folder in C drive rename it as "a" without quotes.

2. Now open Command Prompt from run in Start Menu.

3. Type "attrib +s +h C:\a" without quotes and press enter.

4. This command will make your folder invisible and it can not be seen even in hidden files and folders

5. To make it visible again type "attrib -s -h C:\a"

6. You can lock any other folder also by changing the location C:\a to address of your folder.

but you have to write name without space or simple word that u can remember easily like i put name "a" u can take other name also like "Ravi" or any other but dont use space in writing name.



If you want to hide any thing in any drive you have to make one folder in that drive only and after that as shown above folder hide in c drive you can do it in other drive also.

Hide Folder without installing any Program

How to hide Folder?
1.Create Folder by Right-click and click “New”
2.Then click “Folder”
3.Right-click in “New Folder” then select “Properties”
4.Click tap “Customize”
5.Click “Change Icon”
6.Move to blank folder (Transparent Folder) and click

7.Then click “OK” and then click “Apply”
8.And then click “OK”
9.Now your folder had been transparent
10.Next change name of folder to blank ..
11.Right-click folder name and select “Rename”
12.Press Alt+0160 (Blank charactor)
13.OK, you should have visible folder
