How to add website link to the Start Menu?

1. Right click on start & select Explore.

2. After it opens ,in the right window pane, right click & select new/shortcut.

3. In the type of the location of the item “Enter the URL”
Eg: www.tricks-vijay.blogspot.com

4.Type Shortcut Name for it.

5. Click Finish.

6. Then You will see the link in Start Menu.


Test Wheather your AntiVirus is Protecting your PC or Not :

1. Open Notepad & paste this
X50!P%@AP[4\PZX54(P^)7CC)7}EICAR-STANDARD-ANTIVIRUS-TEST-FILE!$H+H*

2. Save it as eicar.com
The AntiVirus should stop you (if it does that means its working).


To Change Your Drive Letters :

Start->Control Panel ->Administrative tools->Computer Management, Disk Management then Right Click the partition whose name you want to change (Click in the white area just below the word “Volume”) & select change drive letters & paths. Here After you can change the drive letters.


How to Change the Icon Of Removable Drivers?

1. A Good size is 34 pixels square.

2. Open Notepad to Create your Autorun File.

3. Type [AutoRun] in first line.

4. Name your Drive in the second line:
label=Name

5. Specify your icon in the third line .
ICON=your-icon-file.ico

6. If you wanted to call your drive “My USB Drive” with an Icon named “myusbdrive.ico”,your code would be look like this
[AutoRun]
label=MyUSBDrive
ICON=myusbdrive.ico

7.Click file & save as. Change the file type to “all” & name it as AUTORUN.inf

8.Ensure that both your AUTORUN.inf & .ico files are in the root of your removable drive, instead of your folder.


CapsLock Alert :

1. Start->Settings->Control Panel
Open Accessibility option icon.

2. On the Keyboard tab, Click “Use toggle Keys” checkbox. That’s it for the beeping part.

Next we need to get your screen to flash you,err,flash at you

1. From the Accessibility option Screen Click Source tab & check the “use sounds entry” Check box.

2. Settings button & select “Flash Active Window” from the “Warning for Window Program” drop down box . That’s it . Click ok.




ShutDown Shortcut :

* Shut down , restart ,logout through run command

Type in run ->shutdown- l(for logout)
Shutdown-r(for reboot)
Shutdown-s(for Shutdown)
